Data Retention & Deletion

This page describes how long CaseProof retains your data, what happens when you cancel or delete your account, and how to request deletion.

Active Account Retention

Matter data, files, and case documents are retained for as long as your account is active. There is no automatic expiration of data while your subscription is in good standing.

In-App Controls

  • You can delete individual evidence files from within the application.
  • Generated documents can be edited, regenerated, saved as drafts, and exported locally.
  • Case-level and workspace-level deletion are not currently self-service and require a support request.

Account Deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, submit a request to info@thewaldrepcompany.com with your account email. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the confirmed request.

Subscription Cancellation

Canceling billing or allowing a trial to expire does not automatically submit a deletion request. Access to the workspace may be limited while billing is inactive. If you want account data deleted after cancellation, contact info@thewaldrepcompany.com.

Backups

  • Automated daily backups are managed by Supabase and retained for 7 days.
  • Backups are encrypted at rest and are not accessible to end users directly.
  • Backup retention exists for disaster recovery purposes only and does not extend the data deletion timeline for user deletion requests.

Exported Files

Generated documents and audit CSV exports are created on demand and downloaded to your device. CaseProof does not currently provide a one-click full matter export or self-service JSON export.
