Meet the Developer

Eric Waldrep is the founder and CEO of The Waldrep Company, a digital forensics consulting and training firm. He is a court-qualified expert witness with over 17 years in digital forensics, 27 years in law enforcement, and a record spanning more than 200 federal and state court cases.

Eric holds Magnet Certified Forensics Examiner (MCFE) certification and is a recognized practitioner of Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM, and Autopsy. He also serves as a cyber mentor for the U.S. State Department's Antiterrorism Assistance (ATA) program, delivering advanced digital forensics training to law enforcement professionals internationally.

Why CaseProof Was Built

Over nearly two decades testifying in court and working directly alongside attorneys, Eric saw the same friction repeat itself: mountains of digital evidence — device extracts, metadata, deleted files, communication records — that needed to be translated into organized, attorney-ready documentation before any of it could meaningfully move a case forward.

That translation process was manual, time-consuming, and prone to gaps. Legal teams were spending hours — sometimes days — doing work that Eric recognized as structurally solvable. His deep familiarity with how digital forensics evidence is produced, what courts expect of it, and how attorneys actually use it in litigation gave him an unusually clear view of exactly where the workflow broke down.
